The Balearic Islands Consortium is a multi-functional building in the city of Palma. It was built primarily to celebrate the 2007 UCI Track Cycling World, although its full endowment, dimensions and versatility of its facilities allow for the completion of different activities of both sports, recreational and cultural activities.
Actually, it has a wide office space of official bodies such as these; the various directorates-general of the Government of the Balearic Islands and more than 36 federations.
The management of it is carried out by the Fundació per a l'Esport Balear, which belongs to the Conselleria d’Afers Socials i Esports.
Has since been inaugurated with the celebration of the World Cycling Championships in Pista on 29 March 2007, and since then has hosted multiple events, such as the EuroBasket 2007, the Cirque du Soleil, fairs, concerts, rallies and many others.
